What happens if a gift certificate is lost or stolen?
Unfortunately, there is nothing that we can do if your gift certificate is lost or stolen. Gift certificates are used like cash, so please keep your gift certificate in a safe place until you are ready to use it.
How much should I spend on a gift certificate?
Spend what you would normally spend on a gift for the person that will be receiving the gift certificate. If it is a special occasion, such as graduation, milestone birthday, or major anniversary you might want to consider spending a bit extra to commemorate the importance of the event.
Why should I buy a GiftEscapes.com gift certificate as opposed to some other type of gift card or gift certificate?
Two words: CHOICES and MEMORABLE! What do you think most people do that get a “generic” gift card? Yep! Spend it on gas for the car, groceries, or other “necessities” of life…certainly not something that is very memorable. A GiftEscapes.com gift certificate gives the recipient the choice of not only where they want to use their gift certificate, but how! Perhaps a B&B in New England, a spa in Florida, a round of golf, or a nice dinner…in other words, CHOICES!
I would like to give someone multiple gift certificates so that they can use them at various locations. Can this be done?
Absolutely! In fact, if it is a special occasion, we recommend that you buy multiple gift certificates in smaller denominations vs. one gift certificate with a larger dollar value. For example, let’s say that it is your parent’s 50th wedding anniversary, your husband’s 40th birthday, or some other special occasion (e.g. maybe you owe a HUGE apology to your wife). Instead of buying one $500 gift certificate, we recommend buying five $100 gift certificates. The gift certificate recipient now can put together a GiftEscapes weekend…to truly escape and relax! For example, the gift certificate recipient could use three $100 gift certificates at a luxurious B&B for the weekend, one $100 gift certificate for a romantic dinner, and the final $100 gift certificate for a relaxing massage at a spa!
What if the dollar value of the gift certificate is less than the value of the services provided or product purchased?
In this situation, the gift certificate recipient would simply pay the difference using any form of payment acceptable to the participating business (e.g. cash, check, credit card).
What if the dollar value of the gift certificate is greater than the value of the services provided or product purchased?
In this situation, the partner, at their discretion, may offer the gift certificate holder a credit for any unused balance on the gift certificate, but only for a return visit to the same business partner. Any transaction concerning any unused balance on a gift certificate is solely between the business partner and the gift certificate holder. |
